Most massage chairs use one mechanism. The Phantom Rovo Dual Core uses two, a 4D mechanism working with a 3D mechanism along a 1350mm flexible track, so the upper back and lower body can be worked at the same time. Add 56 airbags, independent Rovo leg units, two zero gravity presets and heated foot rollers, and you have our most complete dual-mechanism chair.

Rovo Mode is the chair's signature leg experience. Each leg unit moves independently, so the calves are massaged one at a time rather than clamped together, and the chair delivers a continuous stretch that flows from the shoulders down to the feet. It is a very different feeling from a standard fixed footrest.

Just about all of it. The 56 airbags break down as 6 at the shoulders, 12 along the arms, 8 across the back, 6 at the sides of the seat, 12 around the legs and 12 at the feet, so the air compression works from your shoulders right down to your soles.

There are two zero gravity presets. Level one reclines to 126 degrees for a relaxed everyday position, and level two takes you back to 165 degrees with your legs gently elevated, so your weight spreads across the chair rather than pressing into your lower back.

Three rows of foot rollers work across the soles, with the centre roller heated for extra comfort. The calves are heated too, and a heated backrest cushion warms the back while the mechanisms work. The footrest also extends and retracts electrically to suit your legs.

It is designed to. The wall-hugging recline needs only 8cm behind the chair for a full recline, and the chair arrives in three separate boxes, the main body, the arms and the leg rest, which makes hallways, stairs and tight corners much easier. Yes. Offline voice commands let you start programmes, switch the foot rollers and heat on or off, adjust the volume, and pause or resume the massage without reaching for the controller. You also get a touchscreen control panel and quick-access buttons on the armrest for the everyday functions.
